The Community Research Education and Engagement for Data Science (CREEDS) will advance research education by providing (a) an intensive, practical summer school experience in computational genomics for graduate students (b) DREAM Challenges and problem solving to tackle real-life biomedical questions for graduate students, (c) an online collaboration environment, and (d) active recruitment and retention of underrepresented groups. Benefits
Selected candidates will travel to New York City to participate in the course. Travel expenses up to $450, housing and some meals will be provided. Participants will receive hands-on training using techniques and methods in computational genomics by a select group of top researchers in the field. Participants level of mastery in these techniques will be assessed before, during, and after completion of the program and participants will be contacted periodically with information about additional training opportunities and related careers information. |
